The Serbian government at today’s session passed a decree on temporary quantitative limitations on the export of soy, sunflower and sugar beet in order to prevent shortages and ensure regular supplies of these products to the market.
The government gave its consent to the Directorate for Commodity Reserves to exchange 9.1 million tonnes of mineral fertilisers for commercial wheat and corn.
This decision was made in order to stimulate agricultural production and mitigate the consequences of extensive droughts in Serbia. The Directorate for Commodity Reserves will negotiate the exchange with private persons – heads of agricultural homesteads, agricultural cooperatives and authorised storage facilities.
The government passed a Bill ratifying an agreement on cooperation in defence between the governments of Serbia and Algeria.
The government appointed Mileta Radojevic as Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities.
