Obradovic on two-day visit to Beijing

Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Zarko Obradovic is participating in the Inaugural conference of the Secretariat for cooperation between the People's Republic of China and the countries of Central and Southeast Europe, which is being held in Beijing on 4-6 September.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development reads that Obradovic was appointed by the Serbian government national coordinator for the cooperation between Serbia and China within the mechanism of cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Southeast Europe.
At the first meeting of national coordinators and at a special reception to be given by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Obradovic will present development projects of Serbia in the fields of infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, environmental protection, science, health care, education and other areas.
During his stay in China, the Minister will speak with the Chinese ministers of science and technology and education about bilateral cooperation to date in these fields and about further course of development of the relationship between the two countries with the aim of improving the strategic partnership, reads the statement by the Ministry.
