Cooperatives to be included in creation of future agrarian policy

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Goran Knezevic and President of the Cooperative Union of Vojvodina Radislav Jovanov highlighted at today's meeting the importance of cooperatives for Serbia’s agriculture.
The Minister expressed full readiness of the Ministry to improve cooperation with cooperatives and boost institutional support so that the cooperative movement could take its rightful place in agriculture in Serbia.
Knezevic underlined that cooperative unions will be fully involved in the design of future agricultural policy, and that the Ministry through various international projects will contribute to their better education and development, especially when it comes to better utilisation of EU funds.
Jovanov praised the quick response of the Ministry in the mitigation of effects of drought, as well as realistic measures passed by the Serbian government.
