Ministry of Science supports involvement of science, research organisations in EU Research Framework Programme

The Serbian Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection said that the ministry delegation, headed by Minister Aleksandar Popovic, was in Brussels from February 2 to 4 at a conference gathering together 12 countries to discuss the EU Research Framework Programme.

The conference was organised by the Austrian Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, Greek Ministry for Development and Slovenian Ministry of University Education, Science and Technology.
Participation of our scientific and research organisation in such projects will produce manifold positive effects as it promotes their scientific competence as well as international affirmation.
The conference also presented examples of efficient integration of Western Balkan countries in the 6th Research Framework Programme.
EU countries positively assessed Serbia’s efforts to financially support the local scientific and research community through the CARDS programme, the statement reads.
