The government passed a decision at its meeting today to approve the funding totaling €1.5 million that for the presidency of the Republic of Serbia over the United Nations General Assembly. This decision was taken in accordance with the commitment of the government to reduce costs at all levels.
The government also abolished the Office in charge of monitoring the presidency of the UN General Assembly and ordered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organise the technical and operational matters related to the presidency of the Republic of Serbia over the 67th session of the Assembly.
The government also discussed the presence of Minister Sulejman Ugljanin at an event where a memorial plaque was placed in Novi Pazar and the government confirmend its commitment to build good inter-ethnic relations.
The government has tasked the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration and the Ministry of Culture and Information to prepare a draft of the measures so that legally and historically contentious events of the past do not jeopardise the good relations in Serbia and the anti-fascist commitment of the government of the Republic of Serbia.
