The Ministry of Defence stated that a memorial prayer service was held at St Mark’s Church this morning dedicated to the victims of Operation Storm, carried out by the Croatian Army in 1995 in which over 1,600 people were killed and more than 200,000 Serbs banished from Croatia.

The prayer was served by Patriarch Irinej and the service was also attended by First Deputy Prime Minister responsible for defence, security and the fight against corruption and crime and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vucic and Chief of the General Staff Ljubisa Dikovic.
