Reinfeldt congratulates Dacic on appointment as Serbian Prime Minister

Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt congratulated Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic on his appointment as head of the Serbian government.
“On behalf of the Swedish government I congratulate you on your new duties at the helm of the Serbian government. Sweden believes that the future of Serbia is in the EU. I was pleased to hear that the coalition agreement emphasised the importance of Serbia’s EU integration.
We hope that this agreement will facilitate the implementation of the reforms necessary for Serbia’s acquisition of EU membership and that it will be a basis for Serbia to actively work on encouraging reconciliation in the region.
I look forward to closely cooperating with you and your government, as well as to our cooperation in European and international institutions.
