New grants for implementing national tuberculosis prevention programme

Belgrade, 1 August 2012

Minister of Health Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic talked today with a delegation from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in Geneva.

In a statement the Ministry said that the delegation of the Global Fund was led by manager of the institution for projects of prevention of tuberculosis and HIV Joshua Metcalf.

During the meeting the two delegations expressed interest in continuing cooperation in the future, and the Global Fund has approved our country a new grant for the programme to help implement the national programme for the prevention of tuberculosis in the period from 2010 to 2015.

Djukic-Dejanovic supported the activities of the Global Fund and continued implementation of projects in Serbia in the prevention of tuberculosis and HIV.
