Serbian citizens advised to leave Syria

Following the escalation of conflicts in Syria, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended Serbian citizens not to travel to that country and advised our citizens who live there or are currently there to leave Syria.
The statement said that the Serbian Embassy in Damascus is still working and providing all necessary information to our citizens who live or are currently residing in Syria.
Taking into account that there are still airlines with regular flights from Damascus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended this option to our citizens. As before, the Embassy of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to monitor the ongoing developments in Syria.
A crisis staff has been formed in order to make clear recommendations and proposals in order to protect life, safety and interests of our citizens in Syria, the statement added.
