A:

Broadening technical military cooperation with Ukraine

Belgrade, 24 June 2012

A delegation of the Ministry of Defence led by Assistant Minister for Material Resources Ilija Pilipovic made a visit to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and attended the third session of the joint Serbian-Ukrainian Commission for Technical Military Cooperation.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Defence says that the meeting focused on the results of cooperation to date and course of its further development.

Certain conclusions regarding the further expansion of cooperation between the two countries were made at the meeting which was chaired by presidents of the Serbian and Ukrainian parts of the joint commission Ilija Pilipovic and Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defence Volodimir Mikolajovic Mozarovski.

In addition to permanent members of the commission, the session was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, representative of the Serbian Embassy in Ukraine and representatives of companies of the defence industry of that country.

During the visit to Ukraine, the delegation of the Ministry of Defence visited the "Scientific-research institute of aviation", aircraft factory "Antonov" and the state-owned company "Ukroboronprom".
