The Ministry says in a statement that in this particularly sensitive moment, when the dialogue has been temporarily put on hold until a new Serbian government is formed, the international presence must be very careful in their actions to make sure they do not give rise to additional distrust among the population in terms of KFOR's impartiality.
All sides in the province must be aware of the fact that the situation can flare up any moment, therefore the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija is calling upon KFOR and Serbs in northern Kosovo to exercise maximum restraint from any risky moves which might lead to unwanted consequences.
Everyone in the province, both international and local participants, must try to bring the situation back to normal and to create an atmosphere of trust which is indispensable for the continuation of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
This morning KFOR soldiers closed an alternative route around Brnjak crossing, which heated up the situation in the north of the province, adds the statement.
