The Ministry says in a statement that in January 2012, Denmark took over the EU’s six-month rotating presidency and Serbia was invited to attend this meeting for the first time, since it is now a candidate country.
The meeting will discuss social dialogue and effects of the economic crisis in Europe.
EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion László Andor will familiarise the participants with the progress of implementing “Possibilities for Youth Initiative”, adopted in end-2011, which envisages measures to improve the mobility of young interns and workers and the possibility of using the EU social fund.
On 25 April, Andor will present an “Employment Package”, a document containing a series of measures to counteract unemployment, recently adopted by the European Commission, the statement adds.
