The Plants Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water Management held the 4th seminar on "Risk assessment - mammalian toxicology and operator exposure" today in Belgrade.
The Ministry says in a statement that the seminar is held as part the twinning project "Harmonisation of national regulations in the registration and control of plant protection products with regulations of the European Union and implementation of new regulations."
The realisation of this project financed by the EU and worth €1.3 billion was started on 1 October and will last 30 months.
The project is implemented by “Chemicals Regulation Directorate”, an agency within the “Health and Safety Executive” from York in Great Britain which is responsible for coordination and supervision of the project implementation.
The aim of this project is improvement of protection of human health and the environment in Serbia through the effective control of the use of plant protection products.
