Police works on preventing violence at sport events

Director of Police of the Ministry of the Interior Milorad Veljovic opened the conference "Together to Victory" dedicated to the activities of the police aimed at preventing violence at sport events.
Speaking at this event, held in the "House of Football" in Stara Pazova, Veljovic underlined that the Ministry of the Interior has made a significant step ahead in terms of organisation when the National football information centre was established several months ago.
The training of police officers starts today, with the support of experts from the Pan-European think tank team.
Veljovic expressed his hope that in the future, soccer fields and sport arenas will be gathering places for children and youth, and not a place for violence and bullies, noting that in that sense this event represents a milestone.
The conference "Together to Victory" is a continuation of activities of the Ministry of the Interior in the implementation of recommendations of UEFA.
