Serbia, China continue cooperation in sports

Minister of Youth and Sport Snezana Samardzic-Markovic met today with Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Zhang Wanxue and discussed ways to expand cooperation in sports between the two countries.

Samardzic-Markovic said that this meeting is important because China is a large country with exceptional sports results, and bilateral cooperation between Serbia and China has a long tradition, adding that it is an honour and a pleasure to cooperate with China, Serbia’s long-term partner.
Wanxue voiced his hope that the cooperation between Serbia and China will grow stronger, and congratulated the Serbian Minister on the success of the Serbian women’s and men’s volleyball teams. Last week, Samardzic-Markovic welcomed a high delegation of the Chinese State Administration for Sports and the Chinese embassy in Belgrade, led by Chinese Minister of Sport Liu Peng.
The meeting looked at plans for mutual cooperation and activities, mutual understanding between the Serbian and Chinese sports and strengthening further bilateral relations, the Ministry statement recalls.
