Labus named chief negotiator in Serbia’s talks with EU

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus has been appointed chief negotiator and head of Serbia’s negotiation team in talks with the European Union.
Following the appointment today, Labus met with Montenegrin Minister of International Economic Relations and European Integration Gordana Djurovic, Head of the Serbia-Montenegrin Office for EU Association Jela Bacovic, and Head of the Serbian Office for EU Association Radmila Milivojevic to discuss the preparation of delegations from Serbia, Montenegro and the state-union for an upcoming session of the advanced standing dialogue with the European Commission, scheduled for January 27 and 28 in Belgrade.
The talks also covered a series of issues that are likely to be brought up at the session and whose resolution will lead to conducting a feasibility study and launching talks on the Agreement on Stabilisation and Association.
