The Serbian government named Serbian Patriarch Pavle honorary president of the Fund for Kosovo-Metohija, and Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica the Fund’s president. A total of 80 million dinars have been paid to the Fund’s account so far, the government said. Government members will earmark one monthly contribution to the Fund while the Ministry of Capital Investment plans to give 30 million dinars over the next three months.
The government expressed satisfaction because a total of 110 million dinars have been secured for the Fund in only a few days.
The government passed a decree on using budgetary funds for financing the export of agricultural and food products in 2005 and a decree on milk premiums for 2005.
A decision on calling a public tender for issuing licenses for manufacturing tobacco products has been adopted.
Also, the government appointed a team for talks on a stabilisation and association agreement with the EU. The team has been set up with Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus as head and Milan Parivodic, Predrag Bubalo, Mladjan Dinkic, Slobodan Samardzic and Radmila Milivojevic as members.
