The Ministry states that the students took this opportunity to get acquainted with work in public administration and were allowed to “lead” the Digital Agenda Administration cabinet for a day.
Investing in young people and their education, and helping them gain work experience is the task for all of us, Matic said, voicing her pleasure at having been able to greet the students.
Chairman of VIP Mobile Board of Management Thanasis Katsiroubas stated that apart form investing in telecommunications infrastructure, it is equally important to invest in young experts in this field who will further develop this sector in Serbia and enable implementation of modern technologies.
The Ministry thanked VIP Mobile, a company that has successfully helped the fourth generation of VIP students to gain their first experience in the company and focus on telecommunications because this is the best way to ensure the future of this sector.
“Be a VIP Student” project was launched by VIP Mobile in November 2007 with the aim of investing in the education and creation of future experts in telecommunications in Serbia.
From the very start, the project was endorsed by the Digital Agenda Administration and universities and faculties eligible for the project, as well as a number of student organisations.
“Be a VIP Student” was declared the best innovation project at the European Employee Volunteering Awards ceremony, organised by the Business Leaders Forum and the Smart Collective, the statement adds.
