Pensions, salaries in public sector to be increased in October

The Serbian government stated today that pensions and salaries in the public sector will be increased as prescribed by the law and that the funds for this purpose have already been set aside in the budget.
Just as up until now, the Serbian government will strictly implement its obligations and in line with this, the income of employees and pensioners will be increased in accordance with the six-month increase in prices and with the half of last year’s growth of GDP.
The government will continue to strengthen financial discipline in public revenues and savings on all levels, with full respect for legal obligations set by the fiscal policy, reads the statement by the government.
