The Serbian Ministry of Health said today that on December 30, 2004, it invited Serbian drug makers and wholesalers to collect medicines for aid to Southeast Asian countries hit by the humanitarian disaster. The medicines will be sent today to those who need them the most, according to a statement.
Drug producers Galenika, Hemofarm, Panfarma, Zorka, and Zdravlje and wholesalers Velefam, Vetfarm, Srbolek, and Unifarm have accepted the ministry’s invitation.
The list of medicines, dominated by antibiotics and rehydrating solutions, has been adjusted to serve the needs of the population in southeastern Asia. The Sri Lankan government submitted the list of needed medicines to the Serbian Red Cross.
