The statement adds that the competition was announced together with the IDEAS Centre Geneva; it lasts from 22 July to 19 August and is open to representatives from the Serbian media provided that they publish an innovative or research article in Serbian with no less than 3,000 characters.
Authors of the best five articles will be rewarded by a trip to Switzerland where they will be able to get acquainted with various aspects and importance of the WTO.
They will also be able to talk with members of the Serbian negotiating team during the 11th meeting of the working group for Serbia’s WTO accession, as well as with representatives from other WTO states in Geneva.
The IDEAS Centre is a non-profit organisation headquartered in Geneva, which offers assistance to Serbia in its WTO accession process.
This assistance is part of the Swiss government’s technical assistance programme and includes WTO accession and implementation of obligations following accession.
A precondition for participating in the competition is knowledge of English (communication level – for interviews), the statement reads, adding that articles and authors’ CVs in English should be submitted to
konkurs.wto@merr.gov.rs.
