EU citizens’ driving licence valid in Serbia

The Ministry of the Interior stated today that that it received inquiries from several Serbian embassies and general consulates from European countries, asking whether it is possible for EU citizens transiting Serbia to drive their motor vehicles without an international driving licence, and only with their regular one.
The Law on road safety envisages that EU citizens temporarily staying in Serbia can drive a motor vehicle with the licence issued by a competent organ from the traveller’s country of origin.
