Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic and Minister of Mining and Energy Radomir Naumov met today with representatives of the coordinating board of private oil retailers to discuss the problems that occurred after they blocked the Pancevo and Novi Sad oil refineries.
Both sides are eager to address the problems without causing incidents, as further blockades would bring into question the Serbian market’s regular supply of oil products. The ministers demanded that the private oil retailers stop the blockade tonight so as to provide normal conditions for the talks.
Private oil retailers said that they do not want to endanger the supply of heating plants with sources of energy, and added that deliveries of crude oil for heating plants will be regular.
Naumov suggested that talks continue at the Ministry of Mining and Energy on Monday, when representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Services will be present.
