President of the National council for cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Rasim Ljajic and the tribunal’s Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz said today that the cooperation between Serbia and the tribunal is conducted professionally and without problems.
This good cooperation includes provision of documentation, access to archives of state authorities and witnesses, as well as all other technical aspects of cooperation that fall under the jurisdiction of the National council.
The two officials underlined that there has not been a single request by the tribunal’s Prosecutor’s Office that was not dealt with in a timely manner and they expressed their belief that such a trend will be continued in the future.
Brammertz said that the open question in the cooperation remains to be the locating and handover of the two remaining fugitives, which will be mentioned in his upcoming regular report to the UN Security Council.
