Safety situation in Serbia stable

Serbian President Boris Tadic, Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Army, General Miloje Miletic attended today a regular yearly analysis of operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Army in 2010.

A statement by the Ministry of Defence says that the analysis looked at the security situation in the country and its surroundings, the dynamics of the realisation of tasks set to the Serbian Army for the last year, as well as other issues affecting the maintenance and development of the abilities of the Serbian Army.
The officials in the meeting assessed that the security situation in Serbia is stable and defined priorities for the upcoming period which should contribute to further improvement of the efficiency of the Serbian Army.
The analysis, which was held in the House of the Guard, was also attended by top officials of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Army.
