Elections for Bosniak national minority council postponed

Minister of Human and Minority Rights, Public Administration and Local Self-Government Milan Markovic said today that it is certain that the elections for the Bosniak national minority council which were scheduled for 17 April will not be held.
This decision was made on the basis of consultations with holders of all three Bosniak lists that participated in the previous elections for the Bosniak national minority council and due to objective circumstances.
Markovic will make the decision on the date of new elections in agreement with all the interested parties.
The Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, Public Administration and Local Government is committed to a policy of dialogue with the aim of addressing all issues relevant to the lives of all national minorities in Serbia.
