The commission agreed that the border police, in cooperation with customs authorities, will tighten the control of passengers who exit Serbia towards the EU countries.
The Criminal Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior will continue to collect information on the organisers of such trips (travel agencies, transporters, individuals) and take other legal measures under its jurisdiction.
Also, meetings will be held with representatives of the diplomatic and consular offices of EU member states so that they could be familiarised with the work of the commission.
The commission will propose to authorities in Hungary to strengthen the control of passengers entering its territory, in view of the fact that the highest number of exits from Serbia is recorded on the border with Hungary, the statement added.
