Serbian citizens advised not to travel to Japan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recommended today that the citizens of Serbia should not travel to Japan, after the recent deterioration of the situation caused by natural disasters as well as by the explosion of the nuclear power plant in Fukushima.

The statement says that Serbian citizens who live and work in Japan, with whom the Serbian Embassy in Tokyo is in constant contact, have been recommended to leave Japan or to evacuate in less affected areas.
Serbian nationals currently residing in Japan are recommended to respect the precautions that are in force, and to contact the Embassy of Serbia in Tokyo for more information and instructions to ensure their safety.
The headquarters for disaster management will be available 24 hours for obtaining the necessary information about our citizens who currently reside in Japan. The telephone at the call centre is 381-11-3068162, the statement adds.
