Mizsei commended the Serbian government for laying institutional foundations despite difficulties and for making the process of association with the EU easier.
He also welcomed the implementation of UN programmes in Serbia, especially the programme of support to peace and stability in the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac, and Medvedja, which aims to build trust between ethnic groups.
Kostunica agreed that the southern Serbian municipalities are a good example of a multiethnic community and he recalled that the rights of the Serb population in Kosovo-Metohija are endangered.
