Government ready to continue talks on improvement of position of education workers

The Serbian government adopted at its session today the Bill on amendments to the Law on 2011 census of population, households and flats and the Bill on amendments to the Law on 2011 census of agriculture.
The government adopted the Law on confirmation of the Memorandum between the Council of Ministers of Albania and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the governments of Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro on the settlement of the debt of Albania to the Former Yugoslavia on the account of trade of goods.
The Decree on the content and manner of preparation of plans of protection and rescue in emergency situations was adopted, as well as the Decree on the procedure for marking confidential data or documents.
The Serbian government noted that the strike of a number of education workers has led to serious disruption of classes in one-third of secondary and primary schools.
The government is ready to continue talks with trade unions on the improvement of position of education workers, as well as with trade unions of other public employees in accordance with the economic situations in the country after the first quarter of this year.
The government is unanimous in the opinion that the position of public employees is difficult, but that the demands of trade unions at this moment are unrealistic because the current economic situation in the country does not allow to meet their requirements.
