Meeting with national minorities’ councils from 2 to 4 February

The Ministry of Human and Minority Rights stated today that the second part of the working meeting with representatives of national councils of national minorities in Serbia will be held from 2 to 4 February at the relevant ministry.
Minister of Human and Minority Rights Svetozar Ciplic will open this meeting, just as he did with last week’s meeting with the first group of national councils.
The meeting is held as part of the EU-funded project “Implementation of Priorities in Human Rights and the Protection of National Minorities.”
Foreign and domestic consultants will present an international system and conventions on the protection of human rights, national legislature on human and minority rights and the role and responsibilities of national councils to representatives from the national councils of the Roma, Vlachs, Bunjevci, Germans, Egyptians, Greeks, Albanians, Czechs, Slovenes and Ashkali.
Special attention will be paid to strategic planning and drafting action and financial plans and reporting.
