As part of the “Implementation of Priorities in Human Rights and Protection of National Minorities” project, a working meeting will be held at the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights from 26 to 28 January with representatives of national minorities’ councils.
The Ministry states that the three-day meeting will be attended by representatives from nine national councils, while another meeting will be scheduled for other representatives early in February.
Minister of Human and Minority Rights Svetozar Ciplic will open the meeting, while foreign and domestic advisors will present an international system and conventions on human rights protection, national legislature pertaining to human and minority rights and the role and responsibilities of nation councils. Special attention will be paid to strategic planning, drafting action and financial plans and reporting.
