The Ministry of Infrastructure issued a statement today saying that Spanish companies are very interested in taking part in the realisation of infrastructure projects in Serbia, especially in the field of road and railroad traffic.
During today’s talks, Spanish Ambassador to Serbia Iñigo de Palacio España informed Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic about the extensive experience of Spanish companies in private-public partnerships and their readiness to get involved in the construction of the Belgrade–South Adriatic motorway in such a way.
De Palacio España said that Spanish companies are also interested in the upcoming revitalisation of the Belgrade-Bar railroad and works on the railway part of Corridor 10.
He conveyed the wish of Spanish construction companies to participate in the building of the Belgrade underground when the time comes, announcing a visit of Spanish experts to Serbia, who will prepare an offer for their participation in Serbia’s infrastructure projects.
The Spanish Ambassador invited Mrkonjic to visit Spain soon and familiarise with the capabilities of Spanish construction companies.
The Minister reiterated that the Spanish companies and businesspeople are welcome to Serbia, adding that they can submit their proposals regarding road and railroad projects on Corridor 10 and the motorway to the South Adriatic.
