Minister of Justice Snezana Malovic and President of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Sang-Hyun Song will sign the Agreement between Serbia and the ICC on accepting the enforcement of sentences of this court in The Hague tomorrow.
The Ministry says in a statement that this agreement will enable persons convicted at the ICC to serve prison sentences in Serbia.
Being one of the founders of the ICC and one of the first sixty member countries that recognised its Statute, Serbia has provided full support to the ICC since its formation.
The signing of this agreement is yet another confirmation of Serbia’s determination to offer concrete support to the work of this court.
With the conclusion of this agreement, Serbia will become the first country in the region that has such a covenant with the ICC, it is added in the statement.
