Ministry of Agriculture fully meets NPI plan in fourth quarter of 2010

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management announced today that it fully met all plans for the fourth quarter of 2010 under the National Programme for Integration (NPI) regarding approximation of Serbian laws with EU legal acts.
By-laws in the field of veterinary medicine, food safety, phytosanitary area and water management field were adopted.
The Ministry was responsible for preparing responses to the Questionnaire of the European Commission on Serbia's candidacy for EU membership.
Namely, they included Chapter 11 - Agriculture and rural development, Chapter 12 - Food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary policy and Chapter 13 - Fisheries.
The above sections included more than 340 questions. The line ministry therefore provided information for answers to some 400 questions, i.e. materials on more than 1,000 pages.
