Government adopts action plan on recommendations from European Commission’s 2010 progress report

The government adopted today a Bill on the annual financial statement of the Republic of Serbia for 2009 and a Bill amending the Law on the right to free shares and financial compensation for citizens in the privatisation process.
The cabinet today adopted an action plan to meet the recommendations from the European Commission’s 2010 progress report to accelerate the receiving of a candidate status for EU membership.
The government passed a Decree on the free import of petroleum and petroleum products from 1 January 2011 and a Decision on free pricing of petroleum products in the domestic market as well as a Decree on the establishment of innovative activities for 2011.
A revised memorandum on budget and economic policy for 2011 with projections for 2012 and 2013 was also adopted.
The government passed a Decision on participation of Serbian Army forces in multinational operations in 2011.
The government also adopted a Conclusion on submission of candidacy of the Republic of Serbia for membership in the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for the 2011-2015 period.
