Sutanovac and Miletic, accompanied by Commander of the Ground Forces Lt. Gen. Ljubisa Dikovic and Commander of the Second Brigade Brigadier General Dusan Stojanovic, visited the works on the construction of accommodation for the 29th logistics battalion and the 27th mechanised battalion at the Jovan Kursula barracks in Kraljevo, which suffered huge damage in the earthquake.
The Minister was familiarised with the reconstruction process, which began immediately after the earthquake. The most important work has already been done and the rest will be completed by 1 July 2011.
Sutanovac also visited Miroljub Petrovic from the Jarcujak residential area, whose house was reconstructed with the help of the Second Brigade.
Petrovic thanked the Serbian Army for coming to his aid.
Sutanovac visited the soldiers reconstructing the building of the health centre in Kraljevo.
The chief task of the Second Brigade in the period ahead will be to demolish the facilities that were heavily damaged, and out of the total of 524 houses that are to be demolished, soldiers from the 210th engineering battalion will bring down 200.
Sutanovac met with Kraljevo Mayor Ljubisa Simovic at the town hall, the statement adds.
