Consultations about Serbia’s new constitution to intensify

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said yesterday that consultations about the passing of Serbia’s new constitution will intensify early this week, adding that it is realistic to expect that the constitution will be adopted with a consensus in the next few months.

In a statement for RTS state television, Kostunica said that the time is ripe for Serbia to get a new constitution. He reiterated that a constitution is the foundation of every state and society and that without a democratic constitution there is no democratic Serbia.
