The Serbian government Committee for Missing Persons stated that the relevant Croatian organs began exhuming the remains of Serbian nationals today, killed in the Croatian Army’s Operation Bljesak in western Slavonija.
The statement adds that the exhumation process at the cemetery will take two days and that samples for DNA analysis will be collected in order to identify the victims.
In line with the interstate agreements which Serbia and Croatia signed, a team of experts from the Committee will be present at the exhumation, the statement adds.
