The Serbian government recalled today that Monday, December 6, is the deadline for improving initial bids in the repeat takeover of shares of the company Knjaz Milos from Arandjelovac.
In this way, the investors whose initial bids have already been cleared will be able to amend their final bids.
Bearing in mind that overall interest of the country and the significance of foreign investment for Serbia’s economic development, the Serbian government is resolute to ensure that all state bodies abide fully by the law in this case as well as in any other case.
Also, the government is of the opinion that it is necessary for all state bodies to take all necessary measures to ensure equal and lawful treatment of all investors as well as full transparency in the process of privatisation.
The government will closely watch this process and it expects all state institutions to enable the new owner to fully exercise the rights it gains in the company.
The Serbian government is of the opinion that every entity taking part in the process of privatisation must do so in a way that will in no way endanger the legality and transparency of the process of privatisation.
In order to create conditions for economic growth in Serbia and to attract foreign investment, state bodies must ensure that all participants in the process of privatisation fully respect laws, reads the statement from the Serbian government.
