Minister of Justice Snezana Malovic will attend a session of the Venetian Commission tomorrow, at which the opinion of amendments to the Law on the High Judicial Council and the Law on judges will be adopted.
The Ministry says in a statement that changes and amendments to a set of judicial laws are the first step towards solving all unresolved issues in the judicial reform, which were pointed out by the European Commission in its annual report on Serbia’s progress.
The upcoming talks with representatives of the Venetian Commission and the European Commission are one of the Ministry’s contributions to meeting all conditions for Serbia to acquire EU candidate status, the statement adds.
