Sutanovac receives Reformer of the Year award

The Ministry of Defence stated today that the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) presented Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac with the Reformer of the Year award.

According to NALED, Sutanovac successfully completed one of the greatest and quickest reforms in 2010 – professionalisation of the Serbian Army.
In addition, military education and health system were improved this year, military industry was promoted and international contracts worth $1.2 billion were concluded, NALED specified.
This opened possibilities for new investments and Serbia has become the leading exporter in the field of military industry in southeastern Europe.
After the ceremony in the lobby of Radio-Television Serbia, Sutanovac said that the main task of reforms is introducing the European system of values and providing a better life.
He expressed his satisfaction that the reform in the Ministry of Defence and the Army were carried out very fast and based on best international standards.
Besides the Minister of Defence, this year's laureates are also Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Data Protection Rodoljub Sabic, Director of the Regional Tax Office in Novi Sad Zoran Radoman and Director of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport Velimir Radosavljevic, the statement added.
