Remains of exhumed bodies in Croatia identified

The Committee on Missing Persons stated today that in cooperation with the International Red Cross Committee it organised the transport of families of missing persons from Serbia to Zagreb, to identify exhumed remains at the Zagreb Faculty of Medicine.
The Committee says in a statement that the remains of 13 victims have been identified, killed during the armed conflicts on the territory of the former Yugoslavia in the period 1991–1995.
The remains were exhumed on Croatian territory, more specifically in Petrinja, Dvor, Vukovar, Osijek, Kukunjevci and other locations.
All remains were identified through a method of DNA analysis and will be buried in accordance with their families’ wishes, the statement adds.
