Police interrogate Audi driver

The Serbian Ministry of Interior said today that it has interrogated Miroslav Cimpl, the driver of an Audi 80 which ran into a convoy carrying Serbian President Boris Tadic. In the presence of the public prosecutor and his lawyer, Cimpl confirmed that he was involved in the incident.
Based on relevant facts and circumstances, the Belgrade criminal police have established that Cimpl, an employee of the US embassy in Belgrade, drove the Audi 80 which hit a BMW from the President's motorcade on November 3, the Ministry said in a statement.
Cimpl will be handed over to relevant judicial bodies, the statement added.
