Samardzic-Markovic attends meeting of WADA foundation board

Minister of Youth and Sport Snezana Samardzic-Markovic attended a meeting of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) foundation board as one of the five European representatives.
The Ministry says in a statement that the Minister held three lectures on WADA’s activities, the social projects it implements and Sochi’s candidacy to host the world anti-doping conference in 2013.
The Minister also held several bilateral meetings with representatives of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Tennis Federation, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) and her counterparts from Canada, Hungary, Belgium and other countries.
Samardzic-Markovic commended WADA on the successful implementation of the "Play True" programme and continued education of the young.
An agreement was also reached for FIFA and IOC sport medicine experts to visit Serbia, the statement adds.
