The Ministry of Human and Minority Rights stated that representatives of the three lists of candidates that took part in the elections for the Bosniak National Minority Council held on 6 June this year held a meeting on the Ministry’s premises today.
The meeting, which was also attended by Head of the OSCE Mission in Serbia Dimitrios Kypreos, focused on the issue of enabling the work of the Bosniak National Minority Council.
The participants in the meeting agreed that in order to reach an agreement, the Ministry will request an opinion from the Judiciary Committee of the Serbian parliament regarding interpretation of Article 98 of the Law on national councils of national minorities.
Also, the Ministry will ask the competent court to speed up the proceedings regarding the disputed case in question.
The talks will be continued on 2 December.
