Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met today with representatives of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs to discuss the situation in the province and further implementation of Serbia’s policies in the province. Kostunica and the Serb political leaders agreed that talks on decentralisation of power in the province must be continued and that Belgrade must be included in these talks.

The officials stressed the importance of taking a harmonised stand in international activities with the common aim of ensuring additional institutional guarantees for the Serb community in Kosovo-Metohija. They also pointed to the significance of today’s session of the UN Security Council, at which Serbia is being represented by Head of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija Nebojsa Covic and Slobodan Samardzic, the political adviser to the prime minister.
Attending the meeting at the Serbian government building were Oliver Ivanovic, Randjel Nojkic, Goran Bogdanovic, Dragisa Krstovic.
