The Ministry says in a statement that Obradovic held a speech at the plenary session, underlining that his Ministry and the Serbian government are taking crucial steps to make Serbian education an integral part of the European education arena.
The Minister declared that conditions have been created for advancing post-secondary vocational education, adding that a reform of secondary vocational education is already under way.
He said 63 new education profiles have been introduced in 222 secondary vocational schools and the realisation of post-secondary education is taking place in reformed high schools.
The Minister observed that the education of adults is another key element of post-secondary education, stressing that adults are the largest group of people in need of post-secondary education, especially at a time of transition.
Serbia has adopted a Strategy for the Education of Adults and an accompanying action plan, Obradovic explained, adding that the Ministry is about to complete a draft law on the education of adults.
Obradovic met with European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism, Sport, Media and Youth Androulla Vassiliou.
Obradovic and Fila are staying in Turin at the invitation of the European Training Foundation, the statement adds.
