Cooperation with ICTY unhampered

The National Council for Cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague decided today to respond affirmatively to 19 requests of the prosecution and defence.
The Council says in a statement that at today’s session, it contemplated the current cooperation between Serbia and the ICTY in areas under the Council’s jurisdiction, including the delivery of documentation, releasing witnesses from the obligation to keep state secrets, providing insight into state organs’ archives and other technical aspects of cooperation.
It was agreed that at the moment there is not a single request from the ICTY’s prosecution or defence which has not been duly responded to.
This is more confirmation that cooperation in this field is continuous, unhampered and routine, and the National Council will continue doing so in the future, the statement adds.
