Djelic to attend WIPO session

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic will be on a two-day working visit to Switzerland on 21 and 22 September, where he will attend the 48th session of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
The Ministry of Science and Technological Development says in a statement that during his stay in Geneva Djelic will meet with WIPO Director Francis Gurry, whose visit to Belgrade has been scheduled for the end of October.
At the meeting they will discuss Serbia’s progress over the past year when it comes to legal regulations and its membership in the European Patent Organisation.
At the fringes of WIPO session, Djelic will hold a series of bilateral meetings with ministers from European countries in charge of intellectual property.
He will also meet with CERN Director General Rolf-Dieter Heuer to discuss Serbia’s membership in this prestigious scientific institution.
Djelic will also visit the technical university in Lausanne (EPFL) and meet with representatives of the Serbian diaspora in Switzerland, the statement adds.
